Startin' the weekend off right

For as much as I've loved learning Perl, there is a slight issue with it not being available out-of-the-box for Windows Server systems. Our production environment at work is ALL Windows so that makes for a slight issue trying to support these handy little scripts I've been using on my local workstation. Fortunately, Microsoft has seen fit to catch up to the early 80's and had introduced an awesome new scripting shell called Powershell. It's installed by default in Server 2008 and both Exchange 2007 and VMware Virtual Center have providers for it.

I took a crack at writing a better 90-day deletion script for our email system (since that's the policy) and it was pretty simple to crank out:

Regular expressions are awesome

As a guitar player, I can remember the first time I heard Steve Vai play. It was awe-inspiring to the point that it was almost discouraging to me as a mere mortal. To see something so far outside of my current ability is neat, but it's also a reminder that in the grand scheme of music I'm pretty average (at best) at something.
